Role Overview
A retail sales opportunity is available for a motivated and customer-focused Salesperson to join a well-established furniture retail brand. The role focuses on driving sales, building strong customer relationships, and ensuring a high standard of customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying customer needs, recommending suitable products, and contributing directly to store sales performance and profitability.
Key Purpose of the Role
To generate sales and maximise revenue through excellent customer service, strong product knowledge, and effective selling techniques while maintaining store standards and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Customer Service
- Actively engage with customers to generate sales
- Identify customer needs and recommend suitable products
- Achieve and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets
- Provide excellent customer service at all times
Merchandising & Store Presentation
- Support in maintaining attractive product displays
- Assist in attracting and retaining customers through effective merchandising
- Ensure store layout supports sales performance
Sales Administration
- Process cash and credit transactions accurately
- Follow company policies for all sales-related administration
- Ensure all transactions are handled correctly and securely
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Handle customer queries and ensure resolution where possible
- Promote repeat business through professional service delivery
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- 7–12 months retail sales experience (preferred but not mandatory)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic understanding of retail operations
