Core Responsibilities

The PC&D Engineer will be responsible for the following key functions:

Control Systems Development & Optimisation

  • Design, develop, and maintain advanced engineering control systems
  • Ensure optimal system performance across production environments
  • Improve automation processes for increased efficiency and reliability
  • Support integration of control systems with plant operations

Process Modelling & Simulation

  • Develop and refine heat transfer and rolling process models
  • Improve predictive accuracy of production outcomes

Software Development & Maintenance

  • Troubleshoot and maintain existing software systems used in production environments

Cross-Functional Technical Collaboration

  • Work closely with metallurgical, production, and engineering teams

Minimum Requirements

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Metallurgical, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science / Computer Engineering
  • 3–5 years of experience in software development within an industrial or engineering environment
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as C++, C#, or Visual Basic
  • Experience working with industrial control systems
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, particularly heat transfer and rolling processes
  • Background in heavy industry, manufacturing, or metallurgy is highly advantageous
