SCIENTIST PRODUCTION – GRADE A REF NO: 3/3/1/19/2025
Directorate: Agricultural Inputs Control
Payment: R761 157 per annum, (OSD), (all-inclusive salary package to be structure in
accordance with OSD rules)
Place: Gauteng (Pretoria): Head Office
Requirements:
- You need a Grade 12 certificate.
- You need a university degree (BSc Hon) in Agriculture.
- Your degree must have Soil Nutrition as a main subject.
- You must be registered with SACNSP.
- You need to be a Professional Natural Scientist.
- You need at least three years of experience in regulations after getting your degree.
What you need to know:
- You must understand the Fertilizer, Farm Feeds, Agriculture Remedies and Stock Remedies Act (1947).
- You must also understand its rules and guides.
What you need to be able to do (Skills):
- Manage programs and projects.
- Use scientific methods and models.
- Research and develop things on your own.
- Follow legal rules.
- Analyze data well.
- Use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Write good technical reports.
- Present complex reports.
- Help customers well.
- Communicate clearly, both speaking and writing.
- Have a driver’s license.
- Give good presentations.
- Work well when things are busy.
- You might need to work extra hours.
DUTIES (What you will do):
- Create and use new methods, systems, and procedures.
- Find out what methods, rules, systems, and procedures are needed.
- Do this by creating administrative rules and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Find problems and fix them.
- Do this by creating guides and holding training workshops.
- Check how well programs are doing.
- Do scientific tasks that need new ideas.
- Write technical reports for these tasks.
