Role Overview

Prestige Cosmetics Group, a subsidiary of CAVI Brands and a leading distributor of luxury beauty and skincare products in Southern Africa, is seeking a Skin Care Consultant for its Shiseido and Drunk Elephant counters at ARC Tygervalley in Cape Town.

This role focuses on delivering expert skincare consultations, driving sales performance, and maintaining premium brand standards across both luxury skincare brands. The successful candidate will serve as a brand ambassador, combining product knowledge, customer engagement, and strong sales execution.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Performance & Target Achievement

  • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets for assigned skincare brands
  • Track individual and counter performance against set budgets
  • Drive product sales through consultations and customer recommendations
  • Support in-store promotional events and counter activations
  • Provide feedback on sales performance, customer trends, and opportunities

Brand Management & Standards

  • Maintain and strengthen brand image for Shiseido and Drunk Elephant
  • Ensure strict adherence to grooming, uniform, and presentation standards
  • Monitor competitor activity and market trends within the skincare sector
  • Ensure products are properly merchandised according to brand guidelines
  • Maintain awareness of stock levels, tester availability, and product displays
  • Ensure counter hygiene and presentation meet luxury brand standards

Client Experience & Relationship Building

  • Deliver a high-quality, personalised skincare consultation experience
  • Build long-term relationships and customer loyalty
  • Grow the client database by attracting new customers to the brand

Administration & Reporting

  • Complete daily sales tracking sheets and submit weekly reports
  • Maintain accurate client records and update customer profiles regularly
  • Submit progress reports to the Retail Development Manager timeously
  • Ensure proper documentation of all sales and customer interactions

Teamwork & Collaboration

  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve overall counter sales targets
  • Support promotional campaigns and in-store events
  • Assist with onboarding and training of new team members
  • Build strong working relationships with retail store partners

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric certificate (essential)
  • Previous retail and skincare experience required
  • Certificate in Beauty Therapy / Somatology (advantageous)
  • Experience in luxury skincare or cosmetics retail (preferred)
  • Ability to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays
