Necessary Requirements:
- You need at least a Grade 11 education or similar.
- You also need at least 3 years of experience helping in food service.
- You must speak and write English well.
- You need to be good at planning and organizing.
- You should have good people skills.
- You need to know how to operate equipment.
- You must be able to manage supplies.
- You should know how to clean and maintain things.
- You must understand health and safety rules.
- This helps prevent food from getting dirty.
- You might need to work late.
- This happens when there are events or dinners after regular hours.
Commitment And Task:
- Supervise food service helpers well.
- Make work schedules for shifts.
- Track who is working and make sure there are enough staff.
- Keep the dining hall clean always.
- Make sure tables are clean and tidy.
- Set tables correctly for the meal.
- Teach staff about safe food handling.
- Check that cutlery, napkins, and other items are on the tables.
- Make sure butter and jams are available.
- Keep things clean and safe.
- Help prepare and serve food.
- Report any lost, damaged, or stolen items.
- Make sure food looks good and is good quality.
