Conditions And Requirement:
- You need to have a Grade 10 certificate.
- You must have at least one year of work experience.
- You should know how to create pastures and plant and grow crops.
- You need to be able to do basic math for mixing and using weed and pest killers.
- You must know how to set up planters and crop sprayers.
- You also need to know how to make farm equipment and buildings work, keep them in good condition and fix them.
- You must be able to drive a tractor, and operate special machines like a TLB and Bulldozer.
- You should know how to use different tools, plant and gather crops.
- You also need to be able to repair roads.
- A valid driver’s license (Code C1) is required.
Duties And Responsibilities:
- Drive a tractor with different tools like plows and sprayers to help with farm tasks.
- These tasks include preparing the land, planting, tilling, harvesting, moving items, fighting fires, building fences, and cutting grass.
- Also, use machines to fix roads and firebreaks, and help with construction.
- Operate special equipment such as harvesters and excavators.
- Take care of vehicles by storing them safely, cleaning them and doing regular maintenance.
- Do the same for farm tools.
- Keep a record of the farm vehicle’s mileage and report it.
- Report any vehicle problems to the mechanic quickly to avoid more damage.
- Help with giving out and taking in fuel and oil.
